Maintenance Technician III - 1st Shift
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry-leading organization to find a skilled Maintenance Technician III for an exciting onsite opportunity in Richmond, CA. If you're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facility operations, this is your chance to make an immediate impact while working with a dynamic team.
Location: Richmond, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: Approximately 4–6 Months (July 13 – November 1)
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour (paid weekly)
As a Maintenance Technician III, you'll play a vital role in ensuring facility systems, equipment, and operations run safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help maintain critical infrastructure, support facility improvements, and keep daily operations moving without interruption.
This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Perform preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance on facility systems
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment-related issues
Support light construction, fabrication, assembly, and facility improvement projects
Conduct routine inspections and complete maintenance checklists and SOPs
Respond quickly to maintenance requests and urgent facility needs
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support repairs and services
Assist with waste handling, material staging, and environmental compliance activities
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work logs, and parts inventories
Support installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Help maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
4–6 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, industrial maintenance, or a related field
Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair skills
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in mechanical spaces, including climbing ladders
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or production environments
Knowledge of vendor coordination, inspections, and safety programs
Experience working in regulated environments
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
RCRA training or hazardous waste management experience
Basic rigging and equipment handling experience
Quickly becomes a trusted resource for daily maintenance activities
Resolves unexpected facility issues efficiently and independently
Maintains safe, clean, and functional workspaces
Builds positive working relationships with team members and vendors
Demonstrates a proactive, solutions-focused approach to every task
