Position Overview




  • Job Title: Project Engineer
  • Location: Long Beach, CA
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Pay Rate Starting at : $65.29 per hour


In this role, you will support advanced digital engineering services for military aircraft programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.





What You’ll Do



As a Project Engineer, you will be a key driver of project success by:




  • Managing technical, schedule, and financial baselines across the full project lifecycle
  • Supporting programs from business capture and proposal development through delivery and customer support
  • Coordinating hardware and software development activities, including data analytics services
  • Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and U.S. Air Force and international customers
  • Leading integration efforts across engineering, systems, and field support teams
  • Driving execution plans to meet performance, cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Identifying risks and implementing solutions to minimize project impacts
  • Ensuring strong customer engagement and satisfaction throughout the lifecycle
  • Supporting supplier subcontracting and managing technical requirements




What You Bring



Required Qualifications




  • 9+ years of project management experience in U.S. Government, aerospace, or DoD programs
  • Proven track record managing projects across proposal, development, qualification, and support phases
  • Strong understanding of subsystem design, requirements allocation, and supplier management
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems across systems, hardware, and software architectures
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience supporting military aircraft programs
  • Familiarity with C-17 or similar large aircraft programs
  • Knowledge of PMBOK principles and project management best practices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and team-building skills

Pay Details: $65.29 per hour
