Job Title: Senior Network Operations Center Technician
Location: Annapolis, MD
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Swing Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM EST)
Note: This is a 24/7/365 operations center; some weekends and holidays required
Pay Rate: $34 per hour
In this role, you will help ensure the reliability of aviation communication networks—supporting systems that enable safe, real-time connectivity between air and ground operations.
As part of the Tier 2 NOC team, you will:
Monitor network management systems and coordinate with telecom providers to restore service
Track and document incidents accurately using incident management tools
Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues of moderate complexity
Support high-availability IP networks, messaging systems, and air-to-ground communication systems
Analyze and respond to technical inquiries from internal teams and customers
Escalate and collaborate on complex issues with senior team members
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, detail, and timely updates
Participate in deployment, configuration, and maintenance activities
Assist in improving processes and developing tools for efficiency
Support monitoring across three core NOC areas:
Transport: Routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits
DataLink: Ground stations and communication systems
Applications: Messaging platforms handling high data volumes
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service
Associate degree (or equivalent training) with 1–2 years of relevant experience, OR High School diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience
Network+ Certification
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and system interconnectivity
Understanding of ITIL/ITSM practices
Experience troubleshooting Cisco network devices
Familiarity with HSRP and BGP routing protocols
Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and customer service focus
CCNA Certification
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Netcool, Remedy, or Office 365
Background in high-availability or mission-critical network environments
