Position Overview

• Job Title: Design and Analysis Engineer
  
• Location: Long Beach, CA
  
• Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
  
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
  
• Pay Rate Starting at : $71.73  per hour
  

In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining secure, global data and storage infrastructures that support advanced aircraft analytics and mission-critical operations.

What You’ll Do

As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you will:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain edge computing and storage infrastructure across 20+ global sites
  
• Design and implement secure VPN connectivity linking distributed systems
  
• Manage and optimize storage solutions including SAN, NAS, and object storage
  
• Configure and support servers and networks across Windows and Linux environments
  
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent and reliable system implementation
  
• Oversee massive data flows, managing 200TB+ of distributed aircraft data
  
• Develop and maintain automation tools using Python and PowerShell
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  
• Support system integration for aircraft data analytics platforms
  
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to storage, networking, and system performance
  
• Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
  
• Provide occasional after-hours support to maintain system availability
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
  
• 9+ years of experience designing and managing distributed systems across multiple sites
  
• Strong expertise in storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage)
  
• Deep knowledge of networking concepts and secure VPN architectures
  
• Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments
  
• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting
  
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize system performance
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in storage or networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, SNIA, NetApp, EMC)
  
• Experience in aerospace or data analytics environments
  
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for distributed systems
  
• Demonstrated success identifying improvements and driving technical innovation
  
• Experience coordinating cross-functional, global teams
