About the Role

As an Employee Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and enhancing training programs that build critical skills across aerospace teams. You’ll serve as both a trainer and strategic partner, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to perform at the highest level—driving safety, quality, and operational excellence.

• Location: Renton, WA
  
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (Second Shift)
  
• Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 months)
  
• Pay Rate: Starting at $53.65/hour
  

What You’ll Do

• Conduct learning needs analysis and define clear, measurable learning objectives
  
• Design, adapt, and deliver training programs aligned with business and operational goals
  
• Facilitate engaging learning experiences using a variety of instructional methods
  
• Serve as a lead instructor in specialized aerospace skill areas (e.g., Electrical, Structural, Seal, Quality, Systems)
  
• Coach individuals and teams to improve performance and skill development
  
• Assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes
  
• Develop and maintain curriculum, course materials, and instructional content
  
• Lead Train-the-Trainer sessions to certify additional instructors
  
• Monitor training implementation and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design innovative learning solutions and tools
  
• Support project planning, including scope, resources, budgets, and deliverables
  
• Identify performance gaps and implement targeted development strategies
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations or manufacturing support
  
• Experience in training, coaching, instructing, or employee development
  
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Proven ability to analyze performance gaps and develop training solutions
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
• Experience designing and delivering leadership development or technical training programs
  
• Hands-on experience in aerospace disciplines (Structural, Electrical, Systems, Repair, Seal, Testing, etc.)
  
• Background as a mechanic or technician in manufacturing environments
  
• Experience in needs assessment, job analysis, and curriculum development
  
• Ability to mentor junior instructors and lead training initiatives
  
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
