Industrial Engineer
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading force in the aviation industry to bring on an Industrial Engineer to support a high-visibility Executive Fleet program in San Antonio, TX. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be at the heart of manufacturing excellence—designing smarter processes, optimizing production flow, and building data-driven solutions that improve quality, cost, and schedule performance. Your work will directly influence the efficiency and success of complex aerospace operations, contributing to some of the most critical aircraft programs in the industry.
Develop and execute operating and recovery plans to ensure production success
Build and analyze models, databases, and spreadsheets to assess performance, trends, and production impacts
Apply Lean and Industrial Engineering principles to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality
Conduct capacity planning and constraint-based analysis to optimize operations
Develop and refine precedence networks and production schedules
Perform value stream mapping, workflow analysis, and logistics planning
Support project management activities, including scope, schedule, cost, and risk analysis
Utilize statistical analysis, simulations, and operations research methods to design efficient systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams
Collect real-time data by observing operations on the shop floor and aircraft during production
Present data insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
2–5 years of experience in:
Industrial or production engineering in a manufacturing environment
Project planning, scheduling, and project management
Experience with Lean concepts and manufacturing operations
Proficiency in programming/data tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, or SAS
Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to work onsite and support 4x10 schedules (Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat, 1st or 2nd shift)
Aerospace or aircraft industry experience
Experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., IVT)
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Aurora)
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost account management
Advanced programming experience in Python, SQL, VBA, or SAS
