Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Manufacturing Engineering Technicians for a contract opportunity in Seattle, WA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing engineering team by reviewing engineering drawing work statements, assessing their impact on retrofit processes, and coordinating with design engineers and service bulletin engineers to ensure seamless implementation of engineering changes. This position develops, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials (BOM), defines and documents retrofit solutions. The technician assists with the development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements, including reviewing supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing-related requirements.

The role identifies tooling requirements, initiates tooling orders, and assists in tooling dispositions based on manufacturing and engineering needs. The technician investigates and resolves manufacturing-related issues of limited scope and supports producibility assessments for part or product designs. They provide input to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedule targets. The role also involves developing work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments, as well as assisting in the review, maintenance, and monitoring of internal documents. This position works under general supervision and requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration between manufacturing and design teams. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
• Review and analyze engineering change requests (ECRs) to determine their impact on manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly.
• Coordinate with design and service bulletin engineers to clarify technical details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure manufacturability of design changes.
• Participate in change board meetings to present findings, provide recommendations, and support decision-making related to engineering changes.
• Identify tooling requirements and initiate tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering needs; assist in tooling dispositions.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation related to manufacturing issues arising from design changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and design engineering to ensure smooth integration of changes into manufacturing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
