Quality Assurance Engineer – Be the Standard Behind the Sky



PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation innovator to bring on a Quality Assurance Engineer in Clearwater, FL. In this high-impact role, you will help ensure mission-critical aerospace components meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance—directly contributing to programs that shape the future of flight.





Your Impact



As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and data analytics—ensuring product excellence while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and teams. Your work will directly influence product integrity across multiple sites and programs.





What You’ll Do



You’ll play a vital role in production quality and system optimization, including:




  • Applying quality principles across production control, design validation, and engineering workflows
  • Partnering with Quality Program Managers, production teams, and cross-site stakeholders to improve processes
  • Leading root-cause investigations, analyzing defects, and implementing corrective/preventative actions
  • Designing and refining inspection processes and testing systems to streamline quality operations
  • Supporting production quality for components such as CCAs, cables, and box assemblies
  • Driving alignment across multi-site programs and partner locations
  • Utilizing Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to track performance and identify trends
  • Supporting automation and AI-driven inspection solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency




Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and locations
  • Experience with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality standards
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality engineering systems
  • Familiarity with hardware integration, testing, and engineering requirements
  • Comfortable working on the production floor




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent problem-solving expertise
  • Background with CCAs, cable assemblies, and box-level components
  • Knowledge of IPC and J-STD standards
  • Experience in additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping
  • Audit experience and ability to produce quality audit reports

Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
