JOB TITLE: Composite Fabrication Specialist

PAY RATE: $29.00/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.

Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

Reads and interprets blueprints and production orders.

Operates various hand and power tools.

Assembles metal structure components with precision.

Applies Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Ability to lift or carry up to 35 lbs.

Preferred: 1+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.

Preferred: Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data.

Preferred: Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools).

Ability to work from established drawings and requirements.

Ability to perform composite lay-up, fabrication, assembly, wire harness installation, and coating application.
