About the Role

As a Milling Machine Machinist, you’ll play a key role in supporting advanced tooling operations that help power the future of aviation. Working on-site in Palmdale, CA, you’ll apply your technical expertise to produce complex components with extreme precision—directly contributing to mission-critical aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate horizontal, vertical, and universal milling machines to perform advanced machining operations
  
• Execute precision work such as compound angles, contours, helical/spiral milling, boring angular holes, and gear/spline cutting
  
• Select, mount, and align specialized machine attachments and tooling
  
• Plan machining processes, including operation sequences, setups, speeds, feeds, and cutting depths
  
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications accurately
  
• Use precision measuring instruments and machinist hand tools to ensure exact tolerances
  
• Perform layout work including measuring, marking, and scribing stock materials
  
• Conduct quality checks using statistical process control and other verification methods
  
• Perform standard shop calculations to support machining operations
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent machining training/experience
  
• Knowledge of automated machinery and precision machining techniques
  
• Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and working overhead
  
• Flexibility to work any shift (Monday–Friday schedule)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a machinist performing complex setups and independent operation planning
  
• Proven ability to work with tight tolerances and advanced machining techniques
