Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (9-Month Assignment)
Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexibility across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
Pay Rate:
$40.00/hr (A&P License Required)
$35.00/hr (Non-A&P)
Take your avionics expertise to new heights. As an experienced Avionics Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting advanced aircraft systems—helping ensure performance, safety, and mission readiness. This is your chance to contribute directly to the modification, testing, and troubleshooting of complex aerospace technology alongside a world-class aviation team.
You’ll work hands-on with aircraft systems, supporting both development and operational readiness. Key responsibilities include:
Assist with disassembly and repair of system components to address failures or implement upgrades
Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and resolve faults
Perform validation and verification testing on systems and components
Assemble, install, and modify wire bundles and avionics systems according to specifications
Conduct aircraft bench and/or flight line operational testing in compliance with DOD and company standards
Interpret schematics, wire diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions
Diagnose and correct malfunctions during assembly and testing processes
Use precision measuring tools and advanced test equipment to ensure quality and conformance
Support safe aircraft handling processes such as jacking, towing, and system operation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in training junior technicians
Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
Experience with 747 aircraft platforms
4+ years of hands-on experience with aircraft avionics systems (Comm/Nav, Data Links, Radar, Electronic Warfare, etc.)
4+ years working with schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
3+ years using aircraft computer systems and basic office software
Strong technical problem-solving skills beyond standard manuals
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with aircraft modification programs
Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and powered elevating equipment
High school diploma or GED
Typically 4+ years of related aviation specific experience
