As an Avionics Technician, you will lead critical work in system assembly, troubleshooting, and testing—ensuring aircraft meet the highest operational and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do Every Day
In this role, you’ll take on complex, hands-on responsibilities across aircraft systems:
Assemble, disassemble, modify, and overhaul avionics and aircraft systems to correct failures or implement upgrades
Troubleshoot complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to isolate and resolve faults
Configure aircraft systems and bench test equipment for performance validation
Perform flight line and bench testing following DOD, manufacturer, and company directives
Install, test, and modify wire bundles and avionics components for aircraft development and upgrades
Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions with precision
Document repairs, testing results, and modifications to meet strict regulatory and contractual requirements
Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness compliance
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards
Lead or assist in training junior technicians and supporting team development
Collaborate cross-functionally with structures, electrical, and mechanical teams to meet production goals
Maintain a safe work environment, including adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures
What You Bring to the Team
Required Qualifications
Experience with 747 aircraft platforms
Deep knowledge of avionics systems, including Comm/Nav, Data Links, Radar, Weapons, and Electronic Warfare
9+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
9+ years of experience with aircraft computer systems and standard software tools
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze circuits, signal flow, and system performance
Proven experience performing aircraft testing and troubleshooting in regulated environments
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as mission demands
Physical capability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs

Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and powered elevating equipment
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Additional related experience or technical training strongly valued

Pay Details: $40.00 per hour
