Schedule: Core hours are 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, full 40 hour work week

Pay Rate: $61.87/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace and defense innovator to hire a talented Systems Engineer who is passionate about developing advanced Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions that support today's warfighter. 

What You'll Do 

• Develop, maintain, and manage system requirements and design documentation. 

• Support requirements verification, validation, and traceability throughout the product lifecycle. 

• Create verification and validation test procedures and execute testing activities within secure laboratory environments. 

• Conduct peer reviews of technical documentation, test procedures, and system designs. 

• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams to achieve program objectives. 

• Coordinate project communications and provide status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership. 

• Partner with subject matter experts to develop and refine system design approaches. 

• Investigate and resolve technical challenges through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. 

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and recommending process enhancements. 

• Participate in proposal and business development activities by supporting technical bids and customer pursuits. 

• Work directly with customers and end users to ensure solutions meet mission and operational requirements. 

• Contribute to the development and integration of advanced Assured PNT solutions for ground-based applications. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) 

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills. 

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering environment. 

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders. 

• High level of initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail. 

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with Python scripting and automation tools. 

• Experience developing automated test solutions and test fixtures. 

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Gherkin, Behave, Robot Framework, or similar tools. 

• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security technologies including: 

  • IP networking 

  • NTP/PTP 

  • SSL/TLS 

• Experience with system integration and verification testing. 

• Experience developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and use cases. 

• Prior military experience or familiarity with defense operations. 

• Experience supporting navigation, communication, embedded, or mission-critical systems. 

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. 

• Self-starter with strong ownership and accountability for deliverables. 

• Comfortable presenting technical information to customers, stakeholders, and end users.
