Schedule: Core hours are 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, full 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: $61.87/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace and defense innovator to hire a talented Systems Engineer who is passionate about developing advanced Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions that support today's warfighter.
What You'll Do
Develop, maintain, and manage system requirements and design documentation.
Support requirements verification, validation, and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Create verification and validation test procedures and execute testing activities within secure laboratory environments.
Conduct peer reviews of technical documentation, test procedures, and system designs.
Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams to achieve program objectives.
Coordinate project communications and provide status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Partner with subject matter experts to develop and refine system design approaches.
Investigate and resolve technical challenges through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and recommending process enhancements.
Participate in proposal and business development activities by supporting technical bids and customer pursuits.
Work directly with customers and end users to ensure solutions meet mission and operational requirements.
Contribute to the development and integration of advanced Assured PNT solutions for ground-based applications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering environment.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
High level of initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python scripting and automation tools.
Experience developing automated test solutions and test fixtures.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Gherkin, Behave, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security technologies including:
IP networking
NTP/PTP
SSL/TLS
Experience with system integration and verification testing.
Experience developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and use cases.
Prior military experience or familiarity with defense operations.
Experience supporting navigation, communication, embedded, or mission-critical systems.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Self-starter with strong ownership and accountability for deliverables.
Comfortable presenting technical information to customers, stakeholders, and end users.
