Summary:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains program architecture for build.
Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Provides producibility information for inclusion in project plans and documents producibility best practices.
Analyzes design and build concepts to evaluate producible design or build definitions.
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems and implements lean principles and technologies.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experience developing and implementing production and tooling methodologies.
Experience participating in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for technical solution integration.
Experience developing conceptual designs and maintaining build architecture.
Experience leading and implementing manufacturing plans.
Experience conducting producibility and variation analyses.
Ability to analyze design and build concepts for producible definitions.
Experience resolving technical problems affecting performance, cost or schedule.
Experience coordinating new engineering principles, advanced technologies and concepts.
Knowledge of lean principles and technologies.
