Company Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate or Mid-Level VC-25B Engineering Zonal Task Leader located in San Antonio, TX.
This is a dedicated shipside engineering integration role for the VC-25B production build lifecycle. Critical shipside engineering assignments as engineering task leaders to support the Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team (IPT) across all zones. The Zonal Task Leaders (ZTLs) will support the Aircraft Ship Captains and ultimately the IPT Leaders. This support effort is through the entire production build to aircraft delivery.
Position Responsibilities: • Represent the design engineering organization to interpret engineering drawings and provide clarification on engineering intent to mechanics, operations leaders, liaison/ manufacturing / industrial engineering, quality, and program management • Provide cross-team engineering integration and drive the design maturity through development, modification, and test phases of the VC-25B major aircraft modification • Monitor overall build and sequence for alignment with design intent and provide technical recommendations for decisions related to the re-sequencing of the jobs, work-breakdown structure, and precedence network • Assist in rapid execution of engineering drawing revisions as a response to production build • Support mechanics with engineering input for improvements and/or clarifications • Support change integration and impact assessments for the build • Communicate and execute engineering prioritization within each zone • Lead research of technical, operational and quality issues and recommend engineering solutions Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): o Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering or engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) o 2+ years of experience in product engineering or production operations o 2+ years of experience in military or commercial program support
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): o 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience o Active Secret Security Clearance o 2 or more years related Shipside Engineering Support
