Deburr Hand Finisher Operator - 2nd Shift
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deburr Hand Finisher Operator (Metal Fabricator – 2nd Shift) to support a leading aerospace manufacturing partner specializing in high-performance bellows and component fabrication.
In this hands-on role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that precision-engineered metal components meet strict aerospace and military standards. Your work directly impacts product quality, safety, and performance in mission-critical applications across the aerospace industry.
Schedule: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
As a key member of the fabrication team, you will:
Remove burrs and polish precision metal parts using hand tools, power disc sanders, rotary files, hand files, and tumbling equipment
Set up and operate hand tools and fabrication equipment including drill presses, jigs, tube sizing tools, bead rollers, nibblers, and plug/ring sizing machines
Operate and maintain shear machines, grob saws, bar saws, abrasives, and related cutting tools
Support tube forming, bending, brake forming, sizing, and end-finishing operations
Read and interpret technical drawings and aerospace/military specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist in improving production methods, throughput, quality, and efficiency
Collaborate with team members and share technical knowledge to strengthen department performance
Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with FAA and ITAR requirements
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience using general shop tools and fabrication equipment
Ability to lift 10 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance
Willingness to work 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and overtime as needed
Must meet FAA and ITAR compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical school training in manufacturing, machining, or sheet metal fabrication
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or precision metal fabrication
Experience with deburring, finishing, or sheet metal forming operations
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain in-house certification
Familiarity with aerospace-grade materials and quality standards
