Location: Mobile, AL | Payrate; $32/hour | Schedule: 2nd shift Mon to Fri' 3:30 pm – 2:30 am

About the Role
As a Mechanic / Painter – General Aviation, you will disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, reassemble, and test aircraft components in accordance with FAA regulations, approved maintenance manuals, and company standards. This is a hands-on, safety-sensitive position where attention to detail, technical accuracy, and commitment to quality are essential.
You’ll work alongside experienced aerospace professionals in a dynamic maintenance and repair environment focused on delivering safe, reliable aircraft components.
What You’ll Do
Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test aircraft components
Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA-approved data, maintenance manuals, and work instructions
Prepare and paint aircraft parts while following all paint application and safety procedures
Maintain a strong focus on safety of flight and production of airworthy components
Accurately complete maintenance records and company documentation
Use proper tools and ensure tooling is calibrated and serviceable when required
Read, interpret, and apply technical manuals and maintenance data
Follow OSHA regulations and all workplace safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
Participate in on-the-job training and continuous learning opportunities
Support additional duties assigned by Component Shop and MRO leadership
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of aviation maintenance experience
Aircraft parts painting experience required
Ability to read, understand, and apply technical maintenance documentation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment
Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, squatting, and lifting
English language proficiency required
Preferred Qualifications
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) training or FAA A&P License preferred
FAA-certified mechanic experience is a plus
Experience working with turbo prop aircraft preferred
Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
