SharePoint Analyst
Start: ASAP
Contract Length: 12 months to start, very likely to extend up to 3 years
Location: Remote, but would prefer candidate working in PST/MST zone
Shift: MON - FRI, 8 to 5 PM (depending on which time zone work is done in)
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $65.35 per hour (depending on experience)
We’re seeking a skilled SharePoint Analyst to play a key role in a large-scale Content Modernization initiative, migrating legacy systems to SharePoint Online. In this role, you’ll design, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance collaboration, streamline content management, and improve business processes across the organization.
This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to a multi-year digital transformation project using modern Microsoft technologies.
Gather and analyze business requirements for SharePoint and Power Platform solutions
Translate functional needs into technical configurations and scalable designs
Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with operational goals
Design and configure SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and permissions
Develop information architecture, including metadata and content types
Optimize usability, navigation, and search functionality
Lead migration of content from legacy systems to SharePoint Online
Utilize tools such as ShareGate or similar migration platforms
Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI
Implement and maintain governance policies for data integrity and compliance
Manage access controls and ensure adherence to enterprise standards
Provide training and support to end users to improve adoption
Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates and recommend enhancements
Drive continuous improvement in system usability and performance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online
Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and administration
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Hands-on experience with SharePoint configuration and customization
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience using ShareGate or similar migration tools
Familiarity with AvePoint tools and solutions
Experience supporting enterprise content migration or modernization projects
Background in large-scale Microsoft 365 implementations
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to balance technical work with business collaboration
Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and user experience
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a multi-year project environment
