PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation and aerospace industry to hire a Fabrication Specialist specializing in Thermal Protection Systems (TPS). In this hands-on role, you will help apply and maintain the protective systems that shield aerospace structures from extreme environments—playing a vital part in mission success and safety.

What You’ll Do

As a Fabrication Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Apply and support Thermal Protection Systems (TPS), including foam applications
  
• Mix and apply primers and specialized chemical coatings according to precise specifications
  
• Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and process documentation
  
• Work on aerospace structures and systems using established procedures
  
• Ensure accurate chemical mixing ratios and application methods
  
• Perform detailed work in tight or confined spaces for extended periods
  
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and process standards
  
• Contribute to manufacturing processes supporting advanced aerospace and spaceflight programs
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
  
• 1+ year of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  
• Experience with primer mixing and application techniques
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation
  
• Comfort working with industrial chemicals and application processes
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedural requirements
  
• Ability to work in confined or tight spaces as needed
  
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
  
   
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) foam application
  
• Background supporting a NASA program or aerospace manufacturing environment
  
• Experience working in a clean room setting
  
• Manufacturing experience related to spaceflight, human-rated systems, or aircraft hardware
  
• Coursework or hands-on experience in thermal protection systems
