Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
•Secret security clearance required
•Experience building relationships with internal and external customers
•Advanced knowledge of applicable industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, FAR, DFAR, JSTD etc.)
•Experience interpreting drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and translate into work instructions
•Ability to interpret requirements that will enable development and review of Quality Processes, and related performance metrics
•Experience in disposition of non-conforming products and failure review boards/ investigations with causal analysis tools
•Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
•Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
•Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions
•Experience developing inspection plans
•Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
•ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
•Prior leadership or people management experience
•Special Process Engineering experience
•Manufacturing of various commodities experience
•Able to work without appreciable direction
AS9102 first article inspections, hardware source inspections, and performing audit/surveillance on supplier production processes/procedures experience
Apriso and SAP Application experience
•Mentoring and training of peers experience
•Process capability analysis and interpretation, gage R&R, or measurement system analysis experience
Effective Communication Skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
•Accredited Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM, or equivalent years of experience
