What You’ll Do
As an Aircraft Painter, you will independently perform complex painting operations and ensure top-tier quality:
Apply advanced paint systems, including metallic, high-gloss, multi-coat, and specialty finishes
Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, priming, and multi-stage coating processes
Operate and maintain advanced spray equipment, including HVLP and air-assisted systems
Perform detailed touch-ups, refinishing, and blending to achieve seamless finishes
Mix and match colors precisely to meet exact specifications for gloss, texture, and thickness
Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to guide painting processes
Perform inspections and document quality checks in compliance with FAA and company standards
Troubleshoot painting issues and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all environmental and safety regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives and help train less-experienced team members
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
4–6 years of aircraft painting experience, including advanced coatings and finishes
Strong knowledge of paint systems, application techniques, and surface preparation
Proficiency with spray equipment, measuring tools, and paint mixing systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Understanding of inspection procedures and quality standards
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety, compliance, and precision workmanship
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Preferred Qualifications
Technical certification in coatings, painting, or a related field
Familiarity with aviation painting standards and regulatory requirements
Experience mentoring or training junior painters

Pay Details: $37.65 per hour
