What You’ll Do

As an Aircraft Painter, you will independently perform complex painting operations and ensure top-tier quality:

• Apply advanced paint systems, including metallic, high-gloss, multi-coat, and specialty finishes
  
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, priming, and multi-stage coating processes
  
• Operate and maintain advanced spray equipment, including HVLP and air-assisted systems
  
• Perform detailed touch-ups, refinishing, and blending to achieve seamless finishes
  
• Mix and match colors precisely to meet exact specifications for gloss, texture, and thickness
  
• Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to guide painting processes
  
• Perform inspections and document quality checks in compliance with FAA and company standards
  
• Troubleshoot painting issues and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes
  
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all environmental and safety regulations
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and help train less-experienced team members
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• 4–6 years of aircraft painting experience, including advanced coatings and finishes
  
• Strong knowledge of paint systems, application techniques, and surface preparation
  
• Proficiency with spray equipment, measuring tools, and paint mixing systems
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  
• Understanding of inspection procedures and quality standards
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and precision workmanship
  
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
  
   
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in coatings, painting, or a related field
  
• Familiarity with aviation painting standards and regulatory requirements
  
• Experience mentoring or training junior painters
