PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation innovator to hire a highly skilled Photographer / APEX Retoucher specializing in 360-degree imagery. In this unique remote role, you will reconstruct and refine detailed panoramic visuals that serve as accurate, as-built records of aircraft and components—supporting engineering, maintenance, and operational excellence.

Your work will directly contribute to preserving the integrity of aerospace documentation, ensuring nothing is overlooked—from fine details to real-world imperfections.

What You’ll Do

As part of the advanced APEX team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reconstructing and retouching 360-degree imagery, including cube maps and equirectangular panoramas
  
• Correcting image artifacts such as stitch misalignment, lens flare, and sensor dust through precise compositing
  
• Performing nadir compositing to remove tripod shadows and obstructions while maintaining realism
  
• Identifying and managing cross-cube stitching errors and ensuring seamless image continuity
  
• Collaborating with QA teams to address feedback, implement revisions, and meet strict quality standards
  
• Organizing and maintaining structured records of working files, including PSDs and final deliverables
  
• Following established APEX workflows for asset handling, editing, and delivery
  
• Managing multiple projects efficiently, meeting production timelines without compromising quality
  
• Continuously learning and applying updated tools, processes, and best practices
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including compositing, layering, and non-destructive editing
  
• Experience working with high-resolution panoramic or 360-degree imagery
  
• Solid understanding of color management (North American Prepress 2 standards preferred)
  
• Ability to work with complex file formats (PSD, TIF, DNG, equirectangular panoramas)
  
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to detect subtle visual defects
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills
  
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a remote environment
  
• Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
  
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
  
   
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with 360 stitching tools such as PTGui and HDR workflows
  
• Experience in aerospace, industrial, or technical imaging environments
  
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience,
  
  OR Master’s degree with 4+ years,
  
  OR 10+ years of equivalent professional experience
