Electrical Manufacturing Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX (100% Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time | 6-Month Consultant
Schedule: 4x10 Shift (A Shift: Sun–Wed | B Shift: Wed–Sat) – Must be flexible for 1st or 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $73.00/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing Engineer. As a key engineering contributor, you will:
Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and visual aids defining as-built configurations
Lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate engineering changes and execute build milestones
Analyze design and production concepts to ensure manufacturability and identify alternative solutions
Provide technical oversight and approve manufacturing processes, tools, and approaches
Support installation planning and execute on-site (shipside) integration activities
Identify tooling requirements and coordinate procurement aligned with engineering needs
Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues during production activities
Collect and analyze data to support producibility and design optimization
Mentor team members and contribute to process and tool improvement initiatives
Partner with stakeholders across engineering, production, and quality to ensure program success
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
9+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering
Hands-on experience in electrical manufacturing, including:
Wire bundle fabrication
Wiring installation and routing
Electrical equipment installation
3+ years of leadership experience (formal or informal)
Experience leading cross-functional projects or initiatives
Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with commercial or military aircraft maintenance and modification
Background in troubleshooting aircraft avionics and electrical systems
Familiarity with Electrical Design Automation (EDA) tools such as OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, Altium, or PSPICE
Experience with WIRS software
Proven ability to work in fast-paced, production-driven environments
