PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced and innovative Cabin Stress Engineer. What You’ll Do
As a Cabin Stress Engineer, you’ll independently perform advanced structural analyses and collaborate closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and technical leadership to ensure successful project execution from concept through certification.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform complex detailed stress analysis for cabin and cargo components using:
Classical hand calculations
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Linear and non-linear modeling techniques
Support structural design efforts for both new and modified aircraft components
Review and approve supplier stress substantiation reports to ensure compliance with aircraft design requirements
Coordinate with design engineers, suppliers, and technical leads to optimize design solutions and meet project timelines
Establish technical objectives, project tasks, and execution strategies
Mentor and provide guidance to junior structural analysts
Lead investigations and problem-solving efforts involving highly complex structural challenges
Ensure compliance with aerospace engineering standards, procedures, and certification requirements
Participate in technical discussions and communicate effectively with all levels of management and project stakeholders
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering:
Aerospace Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Or related engineering discipline with strong structural/systems emphasis
Minimum 13 years of experience supporting cabin, cargo, and/or systems installation design projects
Advanced expertise in structural finite element modeling and analysis using tools such as:
Nastran
LS-Dyna
Abaqus
Radioss
Altair HyperWorks
Strong knowledge of structural analysis principles, design methodologies, and aerospace certification requirements
Experience reviewing and validating engineering substantiation documentation
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience mentoring or leading structural analysis teams
Applied knowledge of aerospace design documentation techniques and procedures
Experience using Google Suite tools
Broad understanding of aircraft cabin and cargo system integration
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Work Environment:
100% onsite role
Physical Requirements Include:
Ability to work on computers and review engineering drawings for extended periods
Ability to communicate effectively in meetings, on production floors, and via teleconference
Ability to lift and carry documents, tools, and equipment up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and navigate production environments
Ability to travel independently and occasionally on short notice
Use of required PPE including:

Respirators/masks
