Manufacturing Planner
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation innovator to hire a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Planner in Renton, WA. As a Manufacturing Planner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the production of next-generation aircraft by developing and maintaining manufacturing plans that drive quality, efficiency, and cost performance. Your work will directly influence build strategies, delivery timelines, and the success of critical aerospace programs.
In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will:
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and process documentation
Create manufacturing concepts and strategies aligned with business objectives
Integrate suppliers, materials, processes, and technologies to meet production and delivery goals
Review and approve supplier data to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements
Define and manage tooling requirements from design through end-of-life disposition
Investigate and resolve production and manufacturing issues
Perform producibility assessments to improve part and product designs
Provide recommendations to optimize manufacturing processes, cost, and schedules
Develop work sequencing and integrated plans to support production flow and delivery commitments
Update and maintain processes and procedures to meet regulatory and business standards
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing production environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work under general direction in a fast-paced environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as PDM or CAPP
Background in aerospace or high-volume manufacturing environments
Experience supporting production engineering or process optimization efforts
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
