Location: Dallas, TX | Pay Rate: $33.81/hour | Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 1am)

What You'll Do 

As an Interior Install Technician, you'll work with limited supervision to remove, install, fabricate, and repair aircraft interior components while ensuring all work meets company specifications, FAA requirements, and customer expectations. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities 

  • Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication work, including: 

    • Galleys 

    • Closets 

    • Lavatories 

    • Bulkheads 

    • Doors and panels 

    • Side ledges 

    • Trim, carpeting, cabinetry, and soundproofing materials 

  • Prepare and install aircraft interior components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. 

  • Remove and reinstall fasteners, nut plates, inserts, and hardware used in aircraft interiors. 

  • Interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and installation instructions. 

  • Coordinate with Quality Inspection and leadership teams to ensure compliance with FAA requirements, repair station procedures, and documentation standards. 

  • Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts demand, track discrepancies, and complete work sign-offs. 

  • Mentor, train, and support Interior Installation Technicians while reviewing completed work for quality compliance. 

  • Lead projects and provide technical guidance to team members as needed. 

  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, saws, sanders, brakes, and other shop equipment safely and effectively. 

  • Assist with aircraft maintenance activities and certification-related testing when required. 

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies. 

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, housekeeping practices, and PPE requirements. 

  • Collaborate across departments and adapt to changing production schedules. 

Required Qualifications 

Must-Have Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Minimum of 4 years of installation, fabrication, or related experience. 

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. 

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to aircraft interior installation and removal. 

  • Computer literacy and experience working with electronic tracking systems. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift as required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous aerospace or aircraft interiors experience. 

  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes. 

  • Experience working with composite materials such as Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, acrylics, and related aircraft interior materials. 

  • Prior experience mentoring, training, or leading technicians.

Pay Details: $33.81 per hour
