Operations Trainee
Location: Tulsa, OK | Schedule: Weekend Shift., 5am to 5:30pm | Pay Rate: $19.29 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aerospace manufacturer to hire motivated individuals for an exciting Operations Trainee opportunity. This entry-level role offers valuable training in aircraft manufacturing processes within a collaborative production environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with advanced materials, assembly operations, and automated cutting technology while developing skills that can launch a long-term aerospace career.
As an Operations Trainee, you’ll work under direct supervision while learning essential aircraft manufacturing and structural assembly processes. You’ll also support operations in the Gerber area, cutting pre-preg materials and adhesives using automated cutter machinery.
Perform basic fitting, drilling, and riveting operations using mechanic hand tools including pneumatic drills, rivet guns, countersinks, reamers, and files
Learn aircraft manufacturing processes and structural assembly techniques
Assist with cutting pre-preg material and adhesives using automated Gerber cutting equipment
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to understand production requirements
Align and assemble aircraft parts using fixtures, clamps, pins, and fasteners
Ensure work meets manufacturing and quality standards under guidance from production personnel and Quality Control Inspectors
Observe and assist experienced team members while gradually working with increased independence as skills develop
Maintain strong housekeeping, organization, and workplace safety practices
Support additional production duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer and keyboarding skills
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Professional attitude with strong communication and listening skills
Ability to work any shift as needed
Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds
Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred
Previous hands-on mechanical, manufacturing, or production experience
Interest in aerospace manufacturing and aircraft assembly
