As a Manufacturing Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of software solutions that support manufacturing operations across the full product lifecycle. From architecture to deployment, your work will directly impact how aircraft systems are built, integrated, and maintained—ensuring performance, compliance, and innovation at every stage.
Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions supporting manufacturing systems
Translate customer and operational requirements into scalable software designs
Drive system integration efforts, enhancing functionality and performance
Develop and maintain software architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and technical documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and efficiency
Support users by addressing technical inquiries and feedback
Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks
Establish and improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics
Lead software R&D initiatives and document key findings
Manage software projects and supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with goals
Monitor performance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Job Title: Manufacturing Software Engineer
Location: Everett, WA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; flexible start/end times)
Duration: 12-Month Full-Time Contract
Pay Rate: $55.00 - $78.00/hour
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
7+ years of experience across the software development lifecycle (design, development, integration, testing, troubleshooting)
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as GitLab and VS Code
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Rust, or Ada
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Strong understanding of hardware/software/system interactions and safety considerations
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
9+ years of related experience in engineering, computer science, or similar field
Deep knowledge of software architecture, design methodologies, and lifecycle processes
Experience with system requirements, traceability, and certification standards
Familiarity with software development and testing tools (debuggers, compilers, analysis tools)
Background in supplier management and project coordination
Experience with integration, validation, and verification processes
Knowledge of aircraft systems or complex engineering domains
