As an Aircraft Painter, you’ll play a vital role in delivering the iconic look and protective finish of advanced aircraft. From surface prep to final livery application, your work ensures each aircraft meets exacting standards for performance, durability, and visual excellence.
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (6 Months)
Location: North Charleston, SC (100% onsite)
Pay Rate Starting at : $22.61 per hour
Schedule: Multiple shifts available (including weekends and alternative schedules)
Training: 3–4 weeks (1st shift required)
Per Diem: $600/week (for eligible candidates)
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
Apply primers, topcoats, and custom finishes per design specifications
Execute detailed livery work, markings, and color matching
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical instructions
Ensure all finishes meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Work with adhesives, coatings, and composite materials
Maintain strict adherence to safety practices, including FOD prevention and PPE use
Operate in elevated environments using fall protection equipment
Document work and maintain compliance with required processes and certifications
Minimum 1 year of painting experience (aircraft, automotive, or industrial)
Willingness to work any assigned shift, including overtime
Ability to work at heights and use fall protection equipment
Capability to complete and maintain required training certifications
Strong understanding of safety procedures and handling hazardous materials
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
3+ years of aerospace painting experience
Experience with multi-stage paint processes (base coat/clear coat)
Previous experience on large-scale surfaces (aircraft, automotive, marine)
Familiarity with processes and standards
