About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a critical role in producing high-quality components that support aviation systems. Your work ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process—helping maintain the standards that keep aircraft performing safely and reliably.

Position Details

• Location: Owego, NY
  
• Schedule: 1st Shift (4/10 schedule)
  
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
  
• Duration: June 9, 2026 – May 31, 2027
  
• Work Environment: Onsite, Full-Time
  

What You’ll Do

• Operate light-duty machine tools such as lathes, mills, drills, saws, punch presses, and brakes
  
• Set up machines, make adjustments, and perform basic maintenance
  
• Monitor machining processes to ensure product quality and efficiency
  
• Inspect finished parts using gauges, jigs, and fixtures to verify close tolerances
  
• Follow statistical process control and quality procedures
  
• Work with numerically controlled equipment when required
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  
• Follow all work instructions and production requirements
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  
• Basic computer skills for machine operation and reporting
  
• Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating machine shop equipment (lathes, drills, mills, etc.)
  
• Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection processes
  
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
