This entry-level role offers valuable training in aircraft manufacturing processes while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll gain practical experience with aerospace equipment, tools, and structural assembly operations that directly contribute to the production of advanced aircraft.
What You’ll Do
As an Operations Trainee in the Autoclave/Oven area, you’ll work under direct supervision while learning the manufacturing and part removal processes associated with aircraft production.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Assist with part removal processes in the Autoclave/Oven production area
Learn to operate manufacturing equipment and aerospace production tools
Perform basic fitting, drilling, and riveting operations using pneumatic drills, rivet guns, reamers, countersinks, files, and other hand tools
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets
Align and assemble parts using fixtures, clamps, pins, and fasteners
Ensure work meets quality and production standards under guidance from manufacturing personnel and Quality Control Inspectors
Develop familiarity with aircraft parts, assemblies, and manufacturing procedures
Maintain strong housekeeping and workplace safety practices
Support production teams with additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions
Basic computer and keyboarding skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Must be available to work any shift
Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred
Previous hands-on mechanical or manufacturing experience
Interest in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft assembly
