About the Role



As a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping production systems that support the assembly of advanced aircraft platforms—specifically Apache Helicopters within Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Your work will directly improve efficiency, quality, and performance in a highly collaborative and mission-driven manufacturing environment.





Position Details




  • Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (12 months)
  • Location: Mesa, AZ
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (5:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $50.48 per hour




What You’ll Do




  • Apply industrial engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes and systems
  • Develop plant layouts, workflow sequencing, and capacity plans
  • Design, maintain, and improve integrated production systems across facilities, equipment, and personnel
  • Conduct workflow analysis and build data models, reports, and performance metrics
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
  • Support execution planning, project scheduling, and shop load balancing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production and supply chain operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ergonomic practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive performance visibility and support recovery planning when needed




What You Bring



Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems
  • Proven ability to analyze workflows and implement process improvements
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with low-volume, large-scale assembly (rotorcraft, military aircraft, or similar platforms)
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (Simio, ProModel)
  • Experience with scheduling tools (Aurora, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of job scheduling and sequencing
  • Experience with NX/Unigraphics or other 3D CAD tools
  • Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, and Teamcenter tools (PDM, Process Simulate, Manufacturing Process Planner)

Pay Details: $50.48 per hour
