Summary:
Design, develop, and execute software test and verification plans to ensure system quality, reliability, and functionality.
Set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, network, and data configurations to replicate production systems.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Support and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automation systems for avionics software and hardware testing.
Collaborate with CI/CD (DevSecOps) teams to integrate software deployment into HIL testing environments.
Review software requirements, define test strategies, and validate system functionality, performance, and safety.
Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects, vulnerabilities, and test outcomes.
Create and maintain testing documentation, procedures, metrics, and artifacts in accordance with security and data privacy standards.
Work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced development environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field.
5+ years of related experience in software test, verification, or systems engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience with automated testing and verification methodologies.
Proficiency in NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW (or similar HIL platforms).
Hands-on experience with NI PXIe systems and hardware integration.
Strong programming experience in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Comfortable working with lab and hardware systems/equipment.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Must be able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA.
Must qualify as a U.S. Person for Export Compliance purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modern HIL techniques and/or AI tools.
Familiarity with FPGA testing and architecture.
Knowledge of avionics communication protocols, including:
MIL-STD-1553
ARINC 429
CAN
Experience with avionics display system verification and validation.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post-start).
