Title: Aircraft Painter - Technician A (Contract)

Hourly Rate of Pay Range: $28 per hour

In this role, you’ll help ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of appearance, durability, corrosion protection, and customer satisfaction. Your work will directly contribute to the final presentation and long-term performance of world-class aerospace products.
What You’ll Do
As an Aircraft Painter, you’ll be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing aircraft surfaces with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced aerospace production environment.
Surface Preparation & Paint Application
Prepare aircraft surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing, and removing dents or imperfections
Apply corrosion preventative treatments, primers, and specialized finish coatings to metal and composite/fiberglass components
Ensure all coatings are applied in accordance with technical data, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOM)
Perform touch-up work, stripe line cleaning, and overspray removal to prepare aircraft for customer acceptance
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with aerospace standards
Production & Safety Responsibilities
Utilize aviation-related tools and equipment safely and effectively
Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain clean and organized workspaces within production areas
Collaborate with production teams and quality personnel to meet schedule and customer delivery expectations
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions accurately

Required Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years of painting and paint preparation experience on metal and composite/fiberglass components
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM)
Familiarity with common aviation tooling and aerospace paint application techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience
Experience with specialized aircraft coatings and corrosion prevention systems
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and finishing processes
Experience working in fast-paced production or maintenance environments
