PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aviation leader to bring on a Design and Analysis Engineer in Tukwila, WA. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned engineer to lead supplier integration and FAA certification efforts on a rapid-prototype program. Your expertise will directly influence the development, validation, and delivery of advanced aerospace systems.


Role Snapshot

  • Location: Tukwila, WA (Hybrid flexibility; primarily onsite)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Pay Rate: $82.00 - $100.00/hour

  • Job Type: Full-Time, 4-Month Contract

  • Travel: Occasional domestic travel (1–2 supplier visits)


What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical supplier management, ensuring alignment of schedules, deliverables, and program milestones

  • Review and approve technical drawings and engineering documentation

  • Oversee qualification test planning and execution with suppliers

  • Ensure compliance with FAA certification standards and requirements

  • Manage conformity verification and validation processes

  • Integrate supplier performance into the broader program timeline and risk management strategy

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams

  • Provide technical leadership on mission computing systems (preferred experience area)

  • Analyze test results and implement improvements to ensure performance and compliance


Required Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or systems integration

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in qualification testing and validation

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field

  • Strong experience with supplier coordination and technical oversight

  • Proven ability to interpret and approve engineering drawings and technical data

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, prototype development environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting FAA certification processes

  • Background in mission computing systems or avionics integration

  • Prior work with rapid prototyping or advanced aerospace development programs

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Pay Details: $82.12 to $100.00 per hour
