About the Role 

As an Operations Technician in the Paint Shop, you’ll support aircraft manufacturing and composite painting operations in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll work alongside experienced team members who are committed to training and mentoring individuals eager to learn and grow. 

This is not a mechanical role — it is a painting-focused position within the composite shop. Candidates with painting experience are encouraged to apply, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are most important. 

What You’ll Do 

• Perform basic structural assembly and paint shop support operations under direct supervision  

• Use basic hand and pneumatic tools including drills, rivet guns, reamers, files, and countersinks  

• Assist with fitting, aligning, clamping, and fastening aircraft parts and assemblies  

• Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets  

• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards  

• Support team operations with a collaborative, “jump in and help” attitude  

• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices throughout the shop  

• Grow your skills and responsibilities as experience is gained  

Required Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or GED required  

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English  

• Basic computer and keyboard skills  

• Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math  

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn  

• Positive, team-oriented mindset  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment  

• Must be available to work any shift  

• Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred  

• Previous painting experience preferred  

• Experience working in manufacturing, production, or hands-on environments is a plus
