About the Role
As an Operations Technician in the Paint Shop, you’ll support aircraft manufacturing and composite painting operations in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll work alongside experienced team members who are committed to training and mentoring individuals eager to learn and grow.
This is not a mechanical role — it is a painting-focused position within the composite shop. Candidates with painting experience are encouraged to apply, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are most important.
What You’ll Do
Perform basic structural assembly and paint shop support operations under direct supervision
Use basic hand and pneumatic tools including drills, rivet guns, reamers, files, and countersinks
Assist with fitting, aligning, clamping, and fastening aircraft parts and assemblies
Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Support team operations with a collaborative, “jump in and help” attitude
Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices throughout the shop
Grow your skills and responsibilities as experience is gained
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Basic computer and keyboard skills
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Positive, team-oriented mindset
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Must be available to work any shift
Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred
Previous painting experience preferred
Experience working in manufacturing, production, or hands-on environments is a plus
