PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aviation industry to hire a Dimension Control Technician supporting the F-35 Metrology program in Palmdale, CA. In this role, your expertise will directly contribute to the accuracy, safety, and success of cutting-edge aerospace systems.

Role Snapshot

• Location: Palmdale, CA 93550
  
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4x10)
  
• Pay Rate: $43.01/hour
  
• Job Type: Full-Time, 7-Month Contract (Contract-to-Hire intent)
  

In this high-impact role, you will work on complex tooling and metrology systems that ensure precision alignment and assembly for next-generation aircraft.

What You’ll Do

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and complex jigs, fixtures, and tooling systems
  
• Work with compound angles and intricate contours, maintaining tight tolerances across multiple planes
  
• Interpret and execute tool design drawings or create your own innovative solutions
  
• Set up and operate optical instruments to verify alignment, fit, and adjustment
  
• Design and develop holding devices, fixtures, and tooling details
  
• Create shop drawings and operational sequences for fabrication and assembly teams
  
• Support quality assurance by monitoring processes and verifying compliance using statistical and control procedures
  
• Plan and execute work independently while collaborating with engineering and production teams
  

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in dimension control, metrology, or precision tooling
  
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  
• Experience working with optical measurement systems and alignment tools
  
• Proven ability to maintain tight tolerances on complex assemblies
  
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
  
• Familiarity with F-35 program tooling or similar high-precision programs
  
• Knowledge of statistical process control and quality assurance methods
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
