JOB TITLE: Cable Inspector - 1st Shift

PAY RATE: $28/hour

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Shift: 1st Shift | Hours: 5:00 AM 3:30 PM, Monday Thursday

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Inspect cables using predetermined methods, operations, and specifications

Use measuring devices such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales

Accept, reject, or recommend rework for defective or malfunctioning units/systems

Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions

Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process and other quality control procedures

Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, technicians, and management to resolve quality issues

Perform assembly-related tasks associated with assigned inspection areas as needed

Ensure compliance with IPC standards and quality requirements

Requirements:

Strong background in cable manufacturing and inspection

Experience with soldered and crimp inspection using IPC-A-620 standards

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret:

Drawings and diagrams

Parts lists

IPC manuals

Work instructions

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management

Proficiency with computers and modern software applications

No degree required

Must be able to read and write English

Must successfully complete and pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guide

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
