PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation and defense organization to hire a detail-driven Inspector (Cable Inspection Specialist). In this critical role, you’ll ensure the integrity and reliability of cable systems used in high-performance aerospace applications. Your work will directly impact mission success, safety, and product excellence.

Position Details

• Job Title: Inspector

• Location: Clearwater, FL (Onsite)

• Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (12 months)

• Pay Rate: $19.00 – $28.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

As an Inspector, you will play a vital role in upholding strict quality standards across cable assemblies. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Performing detailed inspections of cable products using defined methods, operations, and specifications

• Inspecting soldered and crimped connections in compliance with IPC-A-620 standards

• Using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and scales

• Interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions

• Determining whether to accept, reject, or recommend rework for products

• Monitoring and verifying quality through statistical process control methods

• Collaborating closely with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve discrepancies

• Supporting assembly-related tasks within inspection areas when needed

• Documenting results and maintaining accurate inspection records using computer systems

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in cable manufacturing and inspection

• Proven expertise in IPC-WHMA-A-620 (IPC-A-620) standards

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and wire harness prints

• Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation tools

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams

• Ability to read and write in English

• Must pass a required medical screening exam

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense manufacturing environments

• Familiarity with quality control systems and statistical process methods

• Prior collaboration with engineering or technical teams in production environments
