PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation and defense industry to hire a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team. Position Details




  • Job Type: Full-Time | Contract (6 months)
  • Location: Berkeley, MO (100% onsite)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $60.25/hour




What You’ll Do



As a Manufacturing Engineer within Test & Evaluation, you will own the build plan and play a key role in transforming design requirements into executable manufacturing strategies. Your responsibilities will include:




  • Developing and authoring manufacturing plans and build instructions for test hardware and instrumentation
  • Reviewing design models, drawings, and specifications, and coordinating updates through redlines and engineering changes
  • Supporting fabrication planning, sourcing, and supplier coordination for parts and materials
  • Providing hands-on support during assembly, installation, and laboratory or flight test setup
  • Driving Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Coordinating closely with test engineers, technicians, designers, and program teams
  • Managing part procurement, material flow, and production coordination
  • Acting as a liaison between engineering, fabrication teams, and suppliers to ensure build plan execution
  • Supporting testing environments ranging from component-level to full-scale aircraft structural testing
  • Contributing to cutting-edge programs like T-7A Redhawk, MQ-25 Stingray, F-15, F/A-18, and advanced Phantom Works initiatives




What You Bring



Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or engineering design
  • Experience with manufacturing planning tools and processes
  • Proficiency using CAD tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments


Preferred Qualifications




  • 3–5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (depending on level)
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with MESci or similar systems
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and configuration management
  • Experience creating and managing redlines and engineering updates
  • Knowledge of procurement systems (eParts) and supplier coordination
  • Understanding of machine shop processes (CNC, EDM, QA inspection, fit/finish)
  • Experience supporting flight or lab test environments
  • Proficiency with CATIA, ENOVIA, NX, or Teamcenter
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping and structural/stress analysis
  • Knowledge of electrical fabrication or wire shop processes

Pay Details: $60.25 per hour
