PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aviation and defense industry, is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support secure, high-performance computing environments. In this mission-critical role, you’ll ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and fully operational—directly supporting advanced aviation technologies and embedded systems.

Position Details

• Location: Riviera Beach, FL (Onsite – local candidates preferred)

• Schedule: Monday – Thursday | First Shift (4/10 schedule)

• Pay Rate: $35 to $42 per hour

• Duration: 6 months to start - Potential for full-time hire

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

What You’ll Do

As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining secure and efficient IT systems within a dynamic, compliance-driven environment. Your daily work will include:

• Maintaining and supporting cyber-compliant computer systems in coordination with network administrators

• Translating security and information assurance policies into actionable technical solutions

• Troubleshooting system and cyber settings impacting embedded software performance

• Performing essential system maintenance tasks such as:

  • Software patching and updates

  • Virus scanning and vulnerability assessments

  • System backups and recovery procedures

• Managing user, administrator, and service accounts

• Maintaining accurate system documentation and records

• Supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

• Ensuring systems meet security compliance requirements and industry standards

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ Certification (required)

• Experience supporting secure IT systems and environments

• Strong troubleshooting skills related to system configurations and cybersecurity settings

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

• Understanding of system administration best practices and security requirements

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Information Assurance tools such as Splunk, Nessus, Tenable/ACAS

• Experience with STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker, or eSTIG

• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Node.js, or similar

• Knowledge of C++ development

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker, microservices architecture)

• Linux certification or experience working in Linux environments
