About the Role

As a Machinist, you will play a vital role in producing precision metal parts and components used in aerospace applications. Your expertise in machining, blueprint interpretation, and quality control will directly contribute to the performance, safety, and reliability of next-generation aircraft systems.

Job Details:

• Location: Goleta, CA 93117
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (9x80 schedule)
• Pay Rate: $44.13/hour
• Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract
• Experience Level: 3–10 years

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and planers
• Manufacture precision components to exact tolerances and specifications
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions
• Determine machining sequences, setups, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality
• Perform layout work, including measuring, marking, and scribing materials
• Assemble machined components into mechanical systems
• Work with both manual and numerically controlled (CNC) equipment
• Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with process controls
• Maintain a safe and efficient workspace while meeting production timelines

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in machining or a closely related field
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on training and experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications
• Proficiency with machinist hand tools and precision measurement instruments
• Knowledge of machining calculations (feeds, speeds, tooling, etc.)
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CNC machining equipment
• Familiarity with aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues
• Experience with statistical process control or quality verification procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
