Pay Rate Range: $60 to $71.92 per hour. DOE

**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**

Responsibilities:
• Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional, or specific products.
• Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present the design proposal.
• Investigates pertinent design factors, including ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-to-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and costs.
• Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.
• Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.
• Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
• Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Creo design.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Concept development.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with creating finished 3D Models.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts.

Desired Qualifications:
• Model-Based Definition (MBD).
