Position Details

Job Title: Structural Design Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
Location: Renton, WA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Rate Starting at : $71.72  per hour

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, revise, and support structural design solutions for aircraft airframe components and assemblies
• Apply engineering principles to solve production-related structural design challenges
• Utilize CATIA V5 and specialized design tools to create and modify engineering models and drawings
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Analyze design changes for fit, function, performance, and manufacturability
• Support engineering documentation, change control, and product lifecycle processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and design optimization
• Deliver timely technical solutions in a dynamic production environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
  • Material Sciences
• 12+ years of related structural design experience
• Strong experience with CATIA V5
• Experience using specific design tools and engineering processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting the 737 program in Structures
• Ability to succeed in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Self-starter who can identify needs and take initiative with minimal guidance
• Ability to develop technical solutions for a wide range of engineering challenges
• Familiarity with DCCS, ETAC, and PDM systems
