Summary:
Develop NDE procedures supporting airline customer maintenance inspections
Design NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
Develop engineering specifications and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements
Assist in evaluating emerging technologies for potential business applications
Support development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes
Perform routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
Assist with implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule objectives
Incorporate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), LEAN, and Quality principles into:
Materials and processes
Research, design, and qualification activities
Work procedures
Laboratory and office environments
Requirements:
Bachelor s, Master s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline
1+ years of engineering experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA or SolidWorks
Experience with NDI systems (Ultrasonics, Eddy Current)
Experience in aviation and/or aerospace environments
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with various computing systems
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across locations
Knowledge of materials science, including metals and/or composites
