PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Materials Management Specialist to support a leading company in the aviation industry. In this role, you’ll help ensure the supply chain organization remains efficient, effective, and aligned with production goals. Your expertise in materials planning, scheduling, inventory control, and process improvement will play a critical part in keeping operations on track.

What You’ll Do

As a Materials Management Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Analyze complex material requirements and production needs

• Verify and incorporate Bills of Material and schedules into production plans

• Determine part number attributes and support accurate planning data

• Initiate, coordinate, and authorize release of orders based on system requirements and resource availability

• Monitor and ensure on-time delivery of materials and components

• Investigate and resolve order delinquencies and schedule adherence issues

• Develop, manage, and optimize inventory plans and stock levels

• Analyze and disposition excess inventory

• Conduct audits and ensure materials processes remain compliant and efficient

• Build schedules for products and services to support operational demands

• Assist with estimates and schedules for new business proposals

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across materials management and supply chain functions

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Materials and Standards experience

• Bachelor’s degree with typically 6+ years of related experience, OR

• Master’s degree with typically 4+ years of related experience, OR

• Equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

• Experience working in supply chain, materials management, or production planning environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or aviation industry experience

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management tools

• Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization experience
