Shipping/Receiving Specialist | PDS Tech Commercial

Location: Hialeah, FL (Miami area)
Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (Initial 60–90 days with potential extension up to 12 months)
Pay Rate starting at $15.03per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Availability for multiple shifts required
(Estimated coverage across 9:00pm–6:00am, 6:00am–3:00pm, and 11:30am–8:30pm; final schedule determined at offer)

Your Role at a Glance

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aviation industry to bring on a Shipping/Receiving Specialist who plays a vital role in keeping aircraft parts flowing safely, accurately, and on time. In this role, your attention to detail directly supports aviation readiness, operational excellence, and customer trust.

What You’ll Do Every Day

As a key member of the distribution team, you will:

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for identification and damage

• Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately

• Package, label, and prepare orders for billing and shipment

• Place parts in correct inventory locations after verifying part numbers

• Pick, fill, and cycle-count orders using a laptop, hand scanner, and utility carts

• Receive parts and disburse them to proper bins

• Safely lift and carry cartons up to 35 lbs. (with tools for heavier items)

• Support departmental and company key performance goals

• Maintain inventory of shipping and receiving supplies

• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs

Required Qualifications

• General work experience

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to stand and walk on cement floors for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.; heavier items handled with safety tools

• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts

• Willingness to wear required PPE (steel or composite safety shoes)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution experience

• Experience using hand scanners or inventory systems

• Familiarity with cycle counts and order fulfillment
