Lead the Future of Aerospace Procurement as a Procurement Project Manager 

Location: Mobile, AL | Schedule: 1st shift, 8am to 5pm | Payrate: $40- $52.88/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to support critical ramp-up initiatives, transformation programs, and the industrial ecosystem within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment. 

In this role, you will drive procurement strategy and execution across complex, cross-functional projects. You will ensure seamless coordination between global and regional teams, enabling efficient, high-quality aircraft production and delivery. Your work will directly influence operational success, cost performance, and long-term competitiveness. 

What You’ll Do 

Project Leadership (70%) 

• Lead procurement workstreams across multiple projects, managing full lifecycle delivery  

• Coordinate with global and local stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution  

• Manage timelines, risks, budgets, and interdependencies across programs  

• Drive program strategy to meet product quality, delivery schedules, and financial targets (including P&L)  

• Develop and maintain detailed project reporting using enterprise tools  

• Analyze data to identify risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to leadership  

• Escalate critical issues to senior management to maintain project momentum  

Procurement Excellence & Transformation (30%) 

• Drive compliance with procurement processes and best practices  

• Support change management initiatives within procurement operations  

• Resolve process and system-related challenges (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, etc.)  

• Lead training and awareness initiatives for procurement and internal teams  

• Support deployment and optimization of procurement tools and systems  

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred)  

• PMP certification  

• 5–7+ years of experience in project management or related roles  

• Strong understanding of procurement processes, risk management, and business case analysis  

• Demonstrated success managing stakeholders in complex, global matrix organizations  

• Expertise in procurement tools and enterprise systems (SAP, Coupa, etc.)  

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities  

• Strong communication and leadership skills  

• Fluency in English  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Fluency in French, German, and/or Spanish  

• Experience with Qlik Sense, Tableau, and Lean Business Improvement Projects (LBIP+)  

• Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace tools  

• Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement  

Work Environment 

This is a 100% onsite position based in Mobile, AL, with regular interaction across office and production settings. The role requires the ability to work with standard office equipment and operate safely within a manufacturing environment using appropriate personal protective equipment.
