Your Impact:
As an Aircraft Structural Dynamics Engineer, you will help ensure aircraft safety, performance, and compliance by supporting new aircraft development studies and in-service fleet programs. Your work in structural dynamics, flutter analysis, and simulation modeling will directly influence aircraft reliability, innovation, and certification success.
Perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations for new aircraft development and continued airworthiness programs
Use engineering judgment to select methods, tools, and techniques for resolving complex technical issues
Prepare, maintain, and enhance finite element models for advanced structural dynamics analysis
Conduct flutter, vibration, and dynamic stability studies
Develop, maintain, and document in-house engineering methods and software tools
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Advanced Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, Flight Controls, and Mass Properties
Support Ground Vibration Testing (GVT) and Flight Flutter Testing (FFT), including post-processing of results
Prepare certification reports, technical documentation, and engineering presentations in English
Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to industry standards
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace specialization
Relevant experience in the aerospace industry
Experience with aeroelasticity and/or aeroservoelasticity analysis
Understanding of aircraft structures, aerodynamics, control surface actuation, and control laws
Experience with finite element modeling and structural analysis
Knowledge of dynamic system stability and frequency response analysis
Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, Fortran, or C/C++
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and pressure
Bilingual communication skills in French and English
Eligible to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance
Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with Nastran or similar structural analysis tools
Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and certification processes
Experience supporting aircraft ground or flight test campaigns
Strong project planning and organizational skills
