Interior Installation Technician
Location: Dallas, TX | Payrate: $33.81/hour | Schedule: 1st shift 5:25am – 4:05 pm
About the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Interior Installation Technician Senior. In this role, you won’t just install aircraft interiors—you’ll help deliver the craftsmanship, safety, and quality that define the passenger experience. Working with limited supervision, you’ll take ownership of complex interior installations while mentoring others and ensuring every detail meets exacting standards.
What You’ll Do
Perform removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interior components, including galleys, lavatories, closets, panels, bulkheads, doors, and more
Ensure all work meets company design specifications, FAA requirements, and quality standards
Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams to complete documentation, sign-offs, and compliance requirements
Mentor and train junior technicians; review work to ensure quality and accuracy
Take on leadership responsibilities, overseeing projects and supporting team execution
Use material tracking systems to manage parts, track issues, and complete work records
Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely, following standard procedures
Install and secure interior components, including fasteners, nut plates, and fittings
Maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with safety and 5S standards
Adapt to schedule changes and collaborate across departments to meet deadlines
Contribute to process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years of experience in installation, fabrication, or related work
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
Strong understanding of aircraft interior installation and fabrication processes
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs
Computer literacy and strong documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the aerospace industry
Experience working with composite materials such as Nomex honeycomb, fiberglass, Lexan, and acrylic
